DoH Brings Healthcare Provider Public Map to Tablets & Smartphone Devices

An easy-to-use web based tool available at https://stem.haad.ae/publicmap , the map offers information about all healthcare facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It allows users to identify hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation and specialist centres close to their location. Additionally, facilities can be filtered out by selecting a specific district within the Emirate.

Neil Clark, Advisor of the Healthcare Planning & Investments Division at Department of Health, stated: “Optimising the Healthcare Provider Public Map for smartphones and tablets was a result of our efforts to make information about the Emirate’s healthcare facilities more readily available to everyone. Through increased accessibility, all residents and visitors in Abu Dhabi Emirate can easily identify the most appropriate healthcare centres for their needs, no matter the time of day.”

He added: “As part of our strategy to increase healthcare efficiency and excellence throughout the Emirate, this map also serves to provide DoH with useful statistical evidence to effectively manage and close healthcare capacity gaps— bringing us even closer to achieving our vision for a ‘Healthier Abu Dhabi’.”

Users also have the ability to determine suitable medical facilities according to their individual considerations— such as insurance coverage, type of service needed, doctors and dentists practicing at the facility, operating hours, type of accommodation and the size of the facility.
