Medical Education Programs “Cycle 2024”
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) is pleased to announce that the Medical Education Programs Application for the year 2024 is now open. The deadline for submitting applications is April 1st, 2024.
New training programs have been introduced for this cycle, bringing the total of programs to 40.
Through reputed academic institutions the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with highly qualified faculty and well established and equipped advanced settings, training opportunities are provided for Medical Internship, Dental Internship, Pharmacy residency programs, Dental Residency Programs, Medical Residency Programs and Fellowship Programs.

INTERNSHIP 2024 REQUIREMENT (for Dental and Medical only)
- Graduation Certificate (less than 2 years old for non-UAE nationals and less than 10 years old for UAE nationals)
- Transcript with clear GPA or Percentage (record of marks attained for each year of medical school)
- UAE national NO minimum GPA or Percentage
- UAE graduate minimum GPA 2.5 or Percentage of 75%
- International applicant’s GPA 3.5 or Percentage of 85%
- UAE national NO minimum GPA or Percentage
RESIDENCY 2024 REQUIREMENT
- Pre-entry exam (http://fmhsmeb.uaeu.ac.ae)
- Graduation Certificate (less than 5 years old for non-UAE nationals)
- GPA of 3 and above (Percentage 80%) and above for Non-UAE applicants (record of marks attained for each year of medical school)
- Internship Certificate (for Medical and Dentist) completion before 31 Aug 2024
- Applicant should be less than 36 years old (UAE applicants) and less than 30 years old (Non-UAE applicants) on the date of the application submission.
- Dental residency programs are open for U.A.E nationals only.
- Completion OR Clearance from the national service for Male UAE- National
FELLOWSHIP 2024 REQUIREMENT
- Specialization certificate tier 1 or tier 2 (graduation within 5 years of for Non-UAE Nationals only).
- DOH will accept applicant with proof of passing specialization certification exam 1 and 2
- Residency certificate
- The time between specialization certificate and residency is less than 5 years (Unified Health Professional Qualification Requirement mandate)
- Applicant should be 40 years old or less (UAE applicants) and 36 years old or less (Non-UAE applicants) on the date of the application submission.
- Completion OR Clearance from the national service for Male UAE- National
