MemberID Simple Type

Description

Insurer's identifier for its member. The same MemberID cannot be assigned to more than one person. In PersonRegister transactions submitted by Providers, such as to report self pay, MemberID must be equal to ClaimMemberID reported in related claims (EncounterFacilityID#EncounterPatientID).
