Public testing of the new shafafiya platform

Date: 4 December 2016

To improve performance and reliability of shafafiya portal DOH is planning to migrate its validation engine onto a new platform in February 2017. To ensure smooth migration a new Public Test Environment will be established to allow all Healthcare Entities to test the new system.

In the new validation engine some of the validation rules will be implemented differently than in the current system as described in the Release Schedule.

To avoid possible disruptions to the revenue cycle and operations, all Healthcare Entities are requested to conduct comprehensive functional tests in accordance with the below testing schedule:

Testing schedule

Phase1: PersonRegister, PriorRequest and PriorAuthorization transactions, and all web services, except DRG web services

Healthcare Entities are requested to provide feedback before the End Date of each testing Round to shafafiyasupport@doh.gov.ae.

The new Public Test Environment will be accessible from 30th November 2016 at the following URL:

The rules for access of the new Public Test Environment will be the same as the current one, see: Public Test Environment

The new Public Test Environment will accept ICD-9 diagnosis codes in test transactions with Encounter.Start before 15 Sep 2016 and ICD-10 codes from that date onwards.
