Department of Health - Abu Dhabi joins hands with Sheba Medical Centre in Israel to strengthen the health and safety of the community

In the presence H.E Abdulla bin Mohamed Al Hamed, Chairman of DoH, the partnership agreement was signed by H.E Dr. Jamal Mohammed Alkaabi, Undersecretary of DoH, Professor Yitshak Kreiss, Director General of SMC, Mr. Yoel Har-even, Director of the International Division and Resource Development at SMC and Eitan Na’eh, Israeli Ambassador to the UAE. 

Followed the signing of the MoU, H. E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi said: "The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi continues to devote its best efforts to enhance the healthcare sector outcomes and ensures the provision of the most advanced healthcare services in accordance with the highest international standards, reflecting its keenness to establish effective partnerships with local and international leading medical institutions.”

Professor Yitshak Kreiss said, “The Abraham Accords has given Israel and UAE a unique opportunity to cooperate on healthcare services and advance digital health to benefit our communities. We are delighted to establish partnerships with healthcare institutions in Abu Dhabi who have a shared vision that knows no boundaries.”

The MoU is a significant step towards exploring opportunities in the field of health and medical research that will contribute to a healthier and safer community. In addition, both entities will cooperate to develop and strengthen cutting-edge research and advance the healthcare services for patients in several aspects including telemedicine and the use of artificial intelligence.
