DoH Launches International Patient Care Mini App on TAMM to Centralise and Streamline Patients' Journey

13 Oct, 2025:

On the sidelines of GITEX Global Week 2025, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate, announced the launch of the ‘International Patient Care Mini-App’ (IPC), a mobile-friendly platform designed to digitalise and mange every stage of the international patients treatment journey abroad. Through integration with TAMM, the Mini App enhances DoH’s commitment to delivering accessible and efficient services in line with the highest standards of care.

The Mini App facilitates seamless end-to-end coordination across their healthcare journey, including the pre-travel, treatment abroad, and post-travel phases. By integrating digital services under one unified and secure system, the Mini App simplifies the administrative process for international treatment, enables patients to track their appointments in real-time, stay updated on all travel logistics, escort arrangements, consent management, as well as requests for official certificates and final medical reports. This innovation reinforces DoH’s commitment to delivering accessible, efficient and patient-centred healthcare experiences, in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global leader in smart health systems.

H.E. Khalaf Al Mazrouei, the Director General of Corporate Enablement and Community Services at DoH, said: “At the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), we remain steadfast in our commitment to continuously advancing efficient and accessible healthcare processes that elevate service delivery across the Emirate locally and beyond. Safeguarding the health and well-being of our community members, whether at home or abroad, remains our utmost priority as we drive innovation and build a robust digital infrastructure. By seamlessly integrating cutting-edge digital solutions, we are enhancing patient experiences and overall system performance, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s dedication to establishing one of the world’s most intelligent healthcare systems.”

Unveiled at the world’s largest technology, artificial intelligence and startup event, GITEX 2025, the platform reflects DoH’s ongoing commitment to delivering seamless customer-centric experiences across all touchpoints.

Visitors to GITEX Global 2025 are invited to experience Abu Dhabi’s latest intelligent healthcare innovations, engage with industry experts and see first-hand how AI and digital technology are transforming healthcare. DoH will be participating under the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion, Hall 19, Stand 20, from 13 to 17 October 2025.
