Injury Prevention Program: Car and Home Safety

DoH’s Injury Prevention Program was launched in 2014 under the title: Know Prevention, Prevent Injury. The aim of the program is to reduce fatal and non-fatal injuries that occur at home or when travelling on the road. Targeted at the Abu Dhabi population as a whole, the program is designed to raise awareness of the causes and factors that can lead to injuries and provide advice to minimize the risk of injury.

In addition, we run a campaign called A Child’s Eyes See No Danger, specifically targeting prevention of injuries to children in the home. This program was launched after DoH statistics in 2015-2016 revealed that 77.5% of non-fatal injuries to children occur in or around the home.
